What information do we display about Mac Vendors?

A MAC (Media Access Control) address is a unique identifier given to every Internet-connected machine primarily by the original device manufacturer.

Normally unchanging, a MAC Address offers a more reliable way to identify senders and receivers of data on a network than dynamic IP addresses.

Though we provide an initial list of MAC vendors you should ensure that it is up to date. This can be achieved using data available in the public domain. See the Administration help page for more information.

If you require Mac Vendors specifically associated with your organization, please click Feedback and submit a Support Request.
